The Village of Longview Public Engagement, 7 pm, June 19, 2024 at the community hall regarding the draft new Animal Control Bylaw 469-23
There will be a public engagement event for the residents of the Village of Longview 7 – 9 pm, Wednesday June 19, 2024, at the Village community hall, at 107 B Morrison Rd., Longview, Alberta. This will include a 90-minute Mayor and Council forum to listen to resident input over and above the questionnaire questions.
The Village of Longview Mayor and Council are seeking resident input regarding the new draft Animal Control Bylaw 469-23, copies of which will be available May 26, 2024, on the Village website (www. https://village.longview.ab.ca/) and in the Village office (128 Morrison Rd., Longview Alberta).
As of May 26, 2024, there is a questionnaire available for eligible Village voters to fill out. It is on the Village website. Hardcopies are available at the Village office and the questionnaires will also be dropped off by the Village Council May 26-28, 2024. The last Village Newsletter asked eligible Village voters to advise the Village office before May 26, 2024, if they do not want door-to-door delivery, in which case the questionnaire will be mailed out based on the name, and address that has been provided.
The Village will do an informal tally of responses on June 19, 2024, for any questionnaires received in writing or by email to the Village office by June 13, 2024. Only one questionnaire is allowed to be filled out by each eligible Village voter.
This notice will also be posted for 3 weeks, starting May 26, 2024, on the Village office Bulletin Board and the Community Hall Bulletin Board.
